A model home built to show a variety of features and wood species
We built this home to create a model home that would celebrate beautiful wood and fine craftsmanship. At the time we were a fairly young company and felt the desire to showcase our work. This home has a mix of Eastern White Pine, White and Red Oak, Maple, Reclaimed Western Red Cedar and Reclaimed Douglas Fir. The Reclaimed Western Red Cedar is recycled from utility poles. The Reclaimed Douglas Fir was recycled from a pier taken out of the Atlantic Ocean.
At the entrance to the house, visitors are greeted by a custom marble mosaic floor in the foyer. The foyer is followed by all maple flooring into the dining room and great room.
The great room boasts a 32’ peaked ceiling looking up into the loft which has a third floor area for viewing from below.
Upstairs boasts two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The bedrooms have built-in closets with wiring for televisions above the closet in order to maximize the limited space. The third level loft is great for setting up holiday decorations to be viewed from the great room below.
The kitchen was designed with granite counters which wrap around the room leaving the view open to the great room and dining room.
The master bedroom is located on the first floor with sliders out to the front deck as well as a large walk-in closet.
This is the same timber frame home that is listed on our Website Special. We would be happy to discuss the possibilities of recreating this home for you. Contact Generations Timber Frames by calling our Michigan Office at (231) 652-4035
